Bush flies into Iraq in the dead of night like the thief he is
He didn't say "bring 'em on!" while he was there....

Newsday headline -AWOL on Air Force One
AWOL on Air Force One, sounds like Newsday is letting Buzzflash write their headlines... I expect his layover in Baghdad will boost his popularity by ten points. Troops beware though. He has pretty much taken money and power away from any photo op after he visits... you name it, 9/11, trees, schools, troops, seniors... a Bush photo op is a bad portent.

Is There Any Part of the Geneva Convention American Troops Haven't Violated?
Bush's troops commit ever more war crimes in the name of justice. This time they have arrested the wife and daughter of one of Hussein's top aides in an effort to get him to turn himself in. Choose your enemies wisely, for soon you shall become like them...

Mission Almost Accomplished
Thanks to Matt Lavine I noticed the Miserable Failure project has put the Miserable Failure at #2 on google. Wow. A huge thanks to Media Whores Online (I got more hits in one hour from him than all the months prior to his link, hurry back, horse) TalkLeft was a close second and their readers seemed to partake in this project at a high rate. With the links from these two it was raining cats and dogs. Luckily, they didn't mess up the furniture.

Legal Memorandum saw the project for what it was but joined in the fun anyway. Blackwoman at coffeeblog put the MF on her front page permalinks. (That's the spirit!) Amon-hen took up the Clarion call. American Stranger at Blah3 took up the idea with a vengeance, posting it everyday for over a week! Woot! This project may seem Smallish but it was fun.

A million thanks to Deb at Deborama for calling the idea "brilliant" (Even my wife of 13 years has never used that word to describe anything I have done...) Thanks to mudshark at angelfire for using the word splendiforous (another word my wife of 13 years has never used to describe anything I have done) and added many descriptive (and true) links beyond me with criminal, liar, fraud, fascist, murderer, asshole, piece of shit, etc.

Similarly, the well named George Must Go blog sums it up in a sound bite. The also well named SickOfBush (lol, SOB for short) also joined in.

It, of course fits in with the Fables of the Reconstruction. Thanks also go to Tristero. Thanks also to KamikazeKumquat which has to be one of my favorite names for a blog. Thanks, Lisa, for the link! Plus Puppethead took time out to link to the Head Puppet!

Mexican UN Ambassador Resigns Over His Firing
In a speech before the world body, the Mexican Ambassador Adolfo Aguilar Zinser referred to how America has always viewed Mexico as its backyard. This little bit of truth apparently enraged Co-Lyin' Powell so much that he called the Mexican President demanding that the Ambassador be fired. He was. Kind of proves Ambassador Zinser's point doesn't it?

Ready, Fire, Aim!
Tom Daschle should resign immediately. The Medicare vote passed by a margin that would have sustained a filibuster. Idiot, idiot, idiot. Next time, don't take the only weapon you have off the table. Idiot. Idiot. Idiot.

Some "Anti-Terror President"
Paul Krugman civilly rips the Resident and Rove a new one by pointing out they attribute their lies to "some people" this or "some Democrats" that. That is quite some anti-terror resident we have. Why is it that whenever he needs some place to blow up to divert attention from his latest shitstorm, it does? Why does the popularity of the "anti-terror President" go up every time there is another miserable failure to stop terror? Why is the anti-terror "President" trying to scare Americans into voting for him?

More Good News From Iraq!
Remember all those schools we are supposed to be thankful about? The Idiot in Chief's soulmate, Idiot in Chief in Iraq Paul Bremer, fired 28,000 teachers...

Republicans raise taxes on Senior Citizens!
Republicans, being the liars that they are, call it Medicare Drug Reform. Senior citizens will pay $700 a year for the benefit to be ripped off by the drug companies. Drug prices are only going to go up. Medicare has been barred by the lying, cheating, thieving Republicans from actually negotiating lower prices for their members. Why do Republicans hate old people?

From those wonderful folks at Counterpunch
Is Anyone Telling the Truth in the Bush Administration?

No.

Freepers go Ape Shit (once again)
Apparently, Sen Kennedy's remarks about Bush's four judges as Neanderthals (Judges so bad that even the lay down and die Democrats won't vote for them) has sparked the knuckle draggers at FactFreeRepublic.com into accusing Kennedy of racism. For people who probably think evolution is just an unproven theory I thought they would liken a Neanderthal to a mythical creature rather than to a race. I won't bother to enlighten the intellectually lazy freepers that Neanderthal was a species. A species that if it wasn't extinct would probably be enslaved by Halliburton. What dodoes.

Crowd Builders?
It seems the "popular wartime Preznit" needs to seed the crowd with folks to cheer for him. So it seems there may be some job opportunities for the 3 million Americans that Bush has put out of work....

Focus Group Comments on "Bush - World Statesman" Product Rollout
Apparently, they aren't buying. Estimated crowd of 100,000 turn out to protest the Resident.

Edit: Latest estimates are above 150,000. Gee... why do our allies hate America?

Bush to world - Stop me before I kill again!
Bush, speaking in London Wednesday, said the biggest threat is weapons of mass destruction controlled by "terrorists and the dictators who aid them."

Oh, the chimp wasn't talking about himself?

Yes, You, Too, Can Borrow Your Way Out of Debt!
Gropenfuhrer plans to get $15 billion dollars in loans to "balance" California's budget. What a maroon. Wouldn't it be better to pursue the $9 billion dollars lawsuit against his friend Ken Lay, Enron pirate extraordinaire? No, wait, the groper is going to let Kenny Boy get away with it.

Thanks, No More Mister Nice Blog!
Mr talked about the original Iron Hammer. A Nazi plot to bomb power lines. It turns out we didn't need it because Republicans are in control of our grid and taking it out quite nicely without bombs. The more things change the more they stay the same. How long before chimpy comes up with The Final Solution?

Patriot's Girlfriend Threatened
A Marine's Girl, who wrote a benign blog on her perspective of Bush's war crimes has been intimidated to shut up. Why do the Freepers hate America?

Florida Statute of Limitations on Narcotics Charges?
I can write a nifty countdown clock for the "tough on drugs" prosecutors to let them know how many days they have left to charge the big fat, oxycontin, idiot.

US Press Scooped Again
Of course, confected probably loses something in the translation. An intelligence official speaking in Los Angeles (but apparently can only be heard in the UK) said Bush made it all up. Color me surprised...

Dr Krugman Strikes Again
Krugman, the only person worth reading at the NY Times, notices how the Democratic circular firing squad missed a teaching moment with the Dean and Confederate flag flap. The candidates could have used the flap to drive home the point that Bush uses race to get poor white folks to vote for rich Republicans that screw them daily but instead they wanted to try and play the race card against Dean and Democrats and working poor every, especially in the South, are all the poorer for it.

The tax cut is working for some!
18 minute gap has a link to the IRS forms for direct deposts of over a million dollars. Hey! That reminds me, I never got the 800 for my two kids...

New Project - ImpeachBush.meetup.com
They don't have it yet. I suggested it but it looks like they need several people to suggest it before they will start one.

http://www.meetup.com/suggest/topic is the place to go!

Holy Toledo!
Bush's brownshirts are everywhere! Barbara Herring, the city’s law director, wrote to the office of the state attorney general asking for assurance that future public activities by city councilmen won’t be restricted.

This is what happens when Republicans control everything. Most of us are too young to remember the McCarthy era. This is going to be worse because during the '50s we didn't have the Reagan/Bush Supreme Court.

Holy Spirit on Line 3 for George Bush
George Bush: Hello? What is the idea of you calling me. I usually talk to the big guy himself.
Holy Spirit: That is why I am calling. I wanted to let you know that you weren't talking to God all those times.
GB: What do you mean? He assured me personally that I could have the Presidency even if I lost the election and that I would get 200 million dollars for a "re-"election campaign.
HS: In exchange for?
GB: My immortal soul.
HS: George, George, George, who tempts people with undeserved rewards in exchange for their soul?
GB: Karl Rove?
HS: True but that is not who I am talking about.
GB: Am I getting warm?
HS: Very warm. Anyways, George, there are two things I have to tell you. One is that God doesn't make deals and the second thing is...
GB: He did so. I heard him myself.
HS: ... and the second thing is, God is a woman and she is very, very pissed at you.

George Bush, International Terrorist
Far from being a whitewash, Kay's report has turned out to be one of the most devastating and unflinching exposés of war crimes in world history. Chris Floyd continues a bit later in his Counterpunch article
"Step by step, Kay and his investigators dismantled--inadvertently, one presumes--the public case for war laid out by Liar-in-Chief George W. Bush"

I think extraditing Bush to the International Court of Justice when they get around to charging him with war crimes is the best way to restore the world's faith in America.

Master of Disaster, aka the Miserable Failure
For George Bush, nothing breeds success like failure.
This article is full of passages like:

This eager stooge of the rich and powerful who failed his way upward through Arbusto and Harken into the presidency has apparently not yet created the disaster of truly terminal magnitude that will finally rid the world of his presence.

I wish I could write that well.

Mortar Attacks on HQ? - Aren't Things Going Great in Iraq?
In yet another reversal in the brilliantly designed and executed plan in Bush's "post"-war Iraq, Bremer is creating a paramilitary organization that he originally opposed. So let me get this straight, there will be two militaries in Iraq. The American military protecting Bremer and the Ministry of Oil and a separate army to "pacify" Iraqis. My, my, the more things change the more things stay the same.

Speaking of Trick Questions
TV "journalist" Lou Dobbs asks a groaner.

LOU DOBBS TONIGHT QUICKVOTE
What is your reaction to the Democratic memo seeking to politicize the pre-war intelligence issue?

Outrage
Politics as usual

So what does outrage in this question mean? Outrage that the Democrats would dare question the "popular war-time resident" or outrage at the lies that Bush used to kill nearly 400 Americans? Lies that anyone with an interest in truth would have easily uncovered in their job as a reporter before the shuck and jive turned into shock and awe.

Update
Democrats could easily add a disclaimer:
Unlike the Bush Administration's outing of Valerie Plame, no sources or methods were endangered by this memo.

Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
Check out Rick's Cafe Americain. It is an interesting new blog. His article Bush & Baghdad Bob: Bosom Buddies? shows how well our misLeader, well, misleads...
