Smooth Move
The Gropinator appoints a Democratic insider, the former Gray Davis Chief of Staff, to be his Chief of Staff. It might resuscitate his failing governorship. How do I know? Wingnuts are screaming.

Coming Soon: Bush's Peace Plan

Announcing: The New Crony Fund™
There have been value investors, growth investors, contrarian investors but all those have below average returns when compared to the Croney Fund™

Bush: The Carlyle Group - not publicly traded. However, shares are owned by Osama bin Laden's family.

Cheney: Halliburton Cheney's Revenge

Rice: Chevron Rice's Revenge

Rumsfeld: Bechtel - not publicly traded. However, shares are owned by Osama bin Laden's family.

(Updated - Fixed spelling, thanks Milo)

Ruh-Oh
Housing bubble topping out. Wouldn't you know it. The local newspaper had this headline just yesterday. The other boom in real estate - Hundreds of new agents, brokers licensed each month in Washington

'Tis A Sign
On the fifth anniversary of the Supreme Court accepting arguments for the frivolous lawsuit "Bush vs Gore", the Supreme Court's facade crumbles.

Thanks to stranger.

What???
So on the fourth day of a crisis in China, after thousands have been evacuated, remaining residents line up to receive delivieries of trucked in water? The foreign minister apologizes? I thought the Secretary of State was supposed to shop for shoes during a crisis. Shouldn't Premier Wen Jiabao be playing a guitar or something?

That Explains A Lot
From Codename V we learn of an animatronic monkey.
Four distinctive emotional moods include "Curious," "Happy," "Fearful" and "Feisty."
Apparently in Feisty mode it wants to bomb Al-Jazeera.
(Optional accessory: wire on back.)

Darn Good Intelligence
As Liberal Avenger points out in comments the Qatar bombing never occurred. However, the US did target the Iraq headquarters of Al-Jazeera in 2003. Bush's spinmeisters claimed it was an accident back then...

Paging Eason Jordan... Paging Eason Jordan...

I Should Have Done This Sooner
Links to Adam Mathes and search engine optimization and Liberal Avenger too.

The Gag Order Is Important
When Bush's Poodle Tony Blair's government invoked the Official Secrets Act over criminally insane George Bush's plan to bomb a network's office in an ally's country they implicitly admitted the existence of the planning of the war crime.

A Difference Of Opinion
My son's language arts worksheet had the word ride next to two pictures of a ghost in different poses with a broom and a picture of a school bus. My son circled one of the broom pictures. The teacher marked it wrong because it is "obviously" the school bus. I think it is a case of an ill-formed question. My son is a Harry Potter fan. The test presented three right answers if you accept the teacher's and test writer's opinion. I might even go so far as to say bus was the wrong answer. Ride, in this case, is obviously a verb and there were no people (or ghosts) on the bus. I seriously doubt the school was teaching ride as a noun as in "The bus is my ride."

Like The News Only Sooner - Again!
Tom Burka's hilarious post "Chalabi Appointed Adjunct Professor of White House Ethics Course" prompted me to add in comments to his post:
Don't forget. Drownie is teaching the course "Planning for Action!"
According to Blah3, a week later, that is exactly what is happening - Drownie is starting a disaster preparedness consulting firm.

I think Bush loves poor people. After all, he made so many of them.

Like The News - Only Sooner
I called for a timetable in September Once Iraqi leaders got away from their "protection" by American troops in Iraq they called for a timetable.

Drownie Is Doing A Heckuva Job
When it comes to resume padding. Cursor notes FEMA lists Katrina as its number 1 achievement for this year.

How much more catastrophic success can we stand?

Stop Triangulating!
Murtha is right. Get the US out of Iraq in six months. This is the sensible course not only for Iraqis and Americans it turns out the timetable takes the Iraq war out of the 2006 elections. From a sheer political standpoint staying in Iraq is the Republicans' worst nightmare. Iraq along with the economy and the so-called PATRIOT Act form a trifecta of how anti-American Republicans are. Americans have gotten used to the idea that their jobs will be shipped to Bangalore. Americans have gotten used to the idea that the government will spy on them for no good reason. Americans, to their credit, have a hard time understanding why Americans must die for Bush's lies.

I would love to see Democrats take over the House and Senate to impeach and try Bush and Cheney for their war crimes. However, it seems that the Democrats are, once again, rushing to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and vote for keeping the military in Iraq while Republicans join Murtha in getting the troops out before the election. Democrats were afraid of voting against Bush when this ill-advised war was popular. They now appear afraid of voting against this war even when their constituents have decided nothing good can come from Bush's folly.

Wankers Away!
From our friends at Blah3. Wanker and W anchor

For the HTML impaired <img src="http://blah3.com/nuke-gallery/albums/Site-pics/w_anchor.jpg" alt="Wanker and W anchor"/>

Bingo!
There is a timetable for pullout from Iraq. Election Day 2006.

Improvised Editorial Devices
Apparently, the Bomb has been in the news recently. Judith Miller and Bob Woodward could take lessons from Malak Hamwi on how to write a story that explains complex issues to their readers.

A funny thing I didn't expect though, failure is apparently the most popular search term leading Google users to the White House.

Irony And The Fiery Wreck
The most damning soundbite against Kerry in the 2004 staged election was the oft-repeated "I voted for the war before I voted against it." Now, it seems, anyone who wishes to survive the 2006 elections is going to have to vote against the war they voted for or get booted out of office.

Tell me, how do you ask someone to be the last to die for a mistake?

A Classic
Every two hundred years or so, a political essay is written that will be cited for generations to come. "A Modest Proposal" is brilliant and worthy of study. However, Defending Imperial Nudity sets the new standard. Congrats, Dr. K.

So Long And Thanks For All The Fish
Fewer than 50 U.S. WWI Veterans are alive for Armistice Day.

The Mr. & Mrs. Chalabi Victory Tour
Chalabi, convicted embezzler, swears he never lied to Bush. This is a clear example of how to tell a lie while telling the truth. Chalabi is saying Bush knew what Chalabi said was lies hence "He never lied to Bush." Mrs. Chalabi, aka Judith Miller, printed his lies about Saddam's WMD's verbatim.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Chalabi, her cover blown at the NY Times, "retires." No news on when the NY Times will clean up the pile of shit that Judith left for them over the years.

Suspected Iranian agent, who tricked Bush and Cheney into attacking Iraq for his Islamofascist masters, announced plans to travel to NY City where his suspected CIA agent dupe has announced her retirement.

There is, however, no news on if Miller and Chalabi will ask "Scooter" Libby for a drive-by, Aspen roots notwithstanding.

Suggested Thanksgiving Activities
As Thanksgiving approaches, what better way to give thanks for being an American than to:

Write your Senators asking for them to reject Alioto.

Write Bush that he fire this turkey. Perhaps write Big Time reminding him the honorable thing to do is get off his gravy train and resign before Fitzgerald beats the stuffing out of him.

Last, but not least, write your U.S. Representative to impeach Bush.

When Stars Collide
Or not. Celebrity riddled California refused admittance to Warren Beatty and Annette Bening to Gov. Schwarzenegger event promoting his broken proposals.
His appearance at the Schwarzenegger rally drew the ire of some of the governor's supporters who called Beatty a liberal and a has-been actor.
Haha. Would the real has-been actor please stand up? Would the Gropinator care to compare the number of his Oscar nominations with either Beatty or Bening?

What If?
I wonder what would happen if Vinton Cerf gives a shout out to Al Gore while receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Wednesday, November 9th?

Yeah, That's The Ticket
Ahmad Chalabi, convicted embezzler is going to run in Iraq on an anti-corruption platform. Maybe the convicted embezzler knows where America's missing billions of dollars are.

Chalabi running as the anti-corruption candidate? Isn't that like election stealer George Bush claiming he is for democracy?

Briefly Noted
I added and fixed some blogroll links. Oh, and by the way, Bush's Bird Flu initiative is apparently geared to line Rumsfeld's pockets. Is this because Rumsfeld isn't blowing up as many hospitals and water works for Bechtel (his other company) to rebuild?
