Hey, We Have A Bill of Rights?
I doubt Thomas Jefferson could have been elected President in the last 30 years

Woo Hoo!
I had an investment that yielded an annualized return of over 50%!

I brought home $25 Canadian from a trip last December.

Ken Burn's The War
I was watching Ken Burn's The War, his documentary about WWII. This leads to today's trivia question:
What is the difference between WWII and Operation Iraqi Freedom?
Answer: In WWII, America declared war on the country that attacked it

Sovereign Nation Or Puppet Government?
Iraq reverse decision to throw out Blackwater despite Bush's history of turning a deaf ear to stopping Blackwater's atrocities.

Google Protecting George Bush - An International Shame
While Google has disabled the miserable failure google bomb from going to Bush (supposedly algorithmically) Global Voice Online reports that the Brazilian Senate is the first result for Vergonha Nacional.
Google Bombing Still Works Just Not Against Bush

Apparently enough Brazilians got disgusted with their Senate to boost it in one day.

Thank You, Sen. Murray
My senator was one of the few that voted against the bill to criticize Americans for free speech.
Democrats who better think twice about asking for money:

A Horrible Photo Op
The curse of the Bush photo op continues. This time his photo op to show "the surge is working" visit to Iraq killed his buddy in Anbar. While Bush's lapdogs palaver at thought of Al Qaeda offing Bush's Anbar Miracle, Palast explains why it was not Al Qaeda.

Nice Photo Op
John Edwards is looking for donations to his campaign. Donors will be eligible for a drawing to work a rebuilding New Orleans photo op with Sen. Edwards. New Orleans, the city that Bush forgot.

If Karl Rove Ran The Democratic Party - Part V
There would be a pep talk held daily in the Senate Democratic caucus about the Attorney General nomination. The rallying points would include: No one has ever lost an election by voting against a Bush nominee. Any Democrat who voted against a Bush nominee has appeared extremely brave, knowledgeable and even prescient. Rumsfeld, Powell, Brown, Gonzalez ... the list goes on.

If Karl Rove Ran The Democratic Party - Part IV
September 17th is Constitution Day. What better day for George Bush to give up cruel and unusual punishment, reinstate a right to trial by a jury and put an end to warrantless wiretapping.

If Karl Rove Ran The Democratic Party Part III
George Bush and Dick Cheney are going to ask for an additional $200 billion to finance their quagmire/occupation. Democrats will, of course, cave in to this preposterous demand. If Karl Rove ran the Democrats they would be instructed to oppose the splurge by introducing an amendment forbidding any of this money to go to Dick Cheney's Halliburton or George Bush's Carlyle Group. The talking point would be: Bush and Cheney can either end this war or make a huge profit off of this war. This amendment will remove any doubt that they are prolonging the war to make money off of it.

Do The Math
Last year's report of the Iraq war costing $2 billion a week is still quoted. In a time when Congress squanders $100 billion every 3 months on Bush's quamire. This doesn't apparently include the hundreds of billions of dollars in the regular Pentagon budget to replace destroyed equipment.

If Karl Rove Ran The Democratic Party Part II
Today, Sept 11th is a day of mourning. If George Bush insists on attacking Democrats on Sept 11th as he has in past years we will be forced to remind the American public that Sept 12th is the 6th anniversary of George Bush flying bin Laden's family out of the country on the White House press plane when they were wanted by the FBI for questioning.

If Karl Rove Ran The Democratic Party
Democrats can't seem to go for the jugular. They know their constituents want out of Iraq but they can't agree on a deadline. If Karl Rove ran the Democratic Party he would say, "May 1, 2008 is the deadline for troop withdrawal. That will be the fifth anniversary of the 'Major military operations are over' speech under the Mission Accomplished banner. You will make the following talking point when asked about it. 'Bush announced the end of combat nearly 5 years ago; if Bush can't follow through we need a Commander in Chief who can."

Poor Babies
The National Review laments the existence of Google bombing and is horrified that Democrats are better at it. Hint: George Bush rose to the top result for failure because far more than 32 blogs linked there.

Plastic Turkey Visits Iraq
Bush sneaks into Iraq to prove how safe it is.
The meetings were held at Al Asad air base rather than in Baghdad because Mr. Bush wanted to see first hand the progress in Anbar, he said, although the president is not scheduled to leave the base, a sprawling complex far from the province’s population centers.
So, why exactly, does Bush need heavy security to visit a remote U.S. military base?

The Surge Is Working!
Billions of dollars going to Bush and Cheney owned companies.

Democrats paralyzed.
