Reminder: The LEAF Arrives In Santa Rosa Tomorrow
The Nissan Leaf will appear in Santa Rosa on Dec 1st.
Economic Recovery, My Way
I am not an elected official. I am not a Nobel Prize winning economist. However, I do know how to help millions of Americans.
For less money than the Goldman Sachs and AIG bonuses we should give every state a billion dollars per representative district. Wyoming gets 1 billion and Gullyfornya gets 53 billion and Washington State gets 9 billion.
Let's do the math. Millions of dollars in bonuses to Goldman Sachs and AIG cost American taxpayers 800 billion. Millions of jobs for hardworking state and city employees like teachers, fire fighters and police will cost 435 billion.
Just Say No To Republican Lite

2010 Mid-term elections are coming up. Real Democrats need to challenge Republican-Lite Democrats. The theme fits onto a bumpersticker.
This bumpersticker is free for Democrats who will vote for a massive jobs bill centering on renewable energy, free higher education for our information society and cutting out the middleman between Americans and their doctors with socialized medicine. DINOs will be charged $1 billion for every bumpersticker that they use with this slogan.

Why Bing Is Better Than Google
Bing brings up George Bush's page at whitehouse.gov for "miserable failure" while Google has whitewashed its results.
Google's Double Standard
Google tweaked its "algorithm" to protect the lying, aWol, miserable failure from accurate search results but won't do the same to remove inaccurate search results for Michelle Obama.

Healthcare "Centrists"
The Hill describes Senators who are opposed to healthcare reform as "centrists".
Senators who oppose the watered down healthcare "reform" are not centrists. They are right-wing lunatics that want Americans to die because they can't afford a doctor. There is nothing centrist about that.

Can We Call Healthcare Reform LOGCAP Instead?
LOGCAP III and LOGCAP IV are the contracts given to former Halliburton subsidiary KBR and two other companies. Halliburton's former subsidiary will glean about $80 billion from the two contracts before "bonuses." These multi-year contracts would pay for nearly one year of health care which we are told the nation can't afford. Even poor Dick Cheney has to pay for his healthcare out of his Halliburton stock option money. That assumes, of course, that he has to pay for his healthcare.

Calling Dr Dean!
2010 is going to be a very important year to execute on the 50 state strategy. Legislatures elected next year will use next year's Census to gerrymander redraw districts. The DLC's swing state strategy, which mostly gives money to Stupak's pro-sepsis Democrats, will give the Republicans way too much power for their 20% of the electorate.

Come The Revolution
It's probably going to be led by old folks. The protestors from the 1960s are hitting retirement age and if past is prologue they aren't going to be too happy with what the ghost of Ronald Reagan has in store for them. Prior to Saint Ronnie, Social Security recipients got a fair shake. The money could actually pay for housing and food. Then Saint Ronnie, with the help of the Democrats, "saved Social Security" which meant cutting its benefits to where we have the situation today.
The military gets a 4% increase.
Pacific Light Company gets a 13% increase.
Gasoline has skyrocketed.
Food prices are rising.
Social Security recipients, through the magic of the inflation index set up by Ronald Reagan'sthugs economists get a 0% increase. Much more of this and the old folks won't be protesting for old time's sake but because they have to.

Healthcare Reform
As long as our politicians who take money from insurance lobbyists labor under the delusion that insurance companies are part of the healthcare solution rather than a major part of the healthcare crisis then here is how to make the severely curtailed public option work.
If your claim is denied by your insurance company you are automatically eligible to enroll in the public option. Premiums for the rest of your life will be paid for by the insurance company that denied your doctor's claim. This would make it unprofitable for insurance companies to pull a bait and switch on America's insured.

Bush's bailout of banks didn't save them. CIT cost taxpayers $2.7 billion dollars. That would have bought the entire first year of well baby check-ups for 3.5 million babies. That is over 21 million checkups.
